The beam won't settle / readings look wrong. Hold the phone flat and
still, then tap RE-BASELINE in Settings. If iOS asks, wave the phone in a
figure-8 to calibrate the compass.
The watch isn't mirroring in REM-pod mode. Make sure Pro is unlocked,
Settings → Paired Mode is set to REM-POD, the phone is on the Live tab, and the
watch app is open. The POD STREAM row in Settings shows the link status.
What does it actually measure? Your device's real magnetometer —
magnetic field strength and direction in microtesla (µT). Mains wiring,
appliances, magnets and ferrous metal all disturb the field. What you hunt
with it is up to you.
